Meet The Doctor
Dr. Roger A. McDougal, DDS, MS
Dr. Roger A. McDougal was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC. After graduating from Reid Ross Senior High School, he attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH). There he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1989. Following college, Dr. McDougal received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery with Honors, also from UNC-CH. He finished his formal education by completing a residency in Endodontics at UNC-CH, and received a Masters of Science degree and Certificate in Endodontics. Since 2001, Dr. McDougal has practiced endodontics privately in Durham, NC.
Dr. McDougal has held membership in a number of professional organizations, including the American Association of Endodontist, the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Old North State Dental Society, the Durham-Orange County Dental Society and two local study clubs. Dr. McDougal is also an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Endodontics at the UNC School of Dentistry.
Dr. McDougal is a proud member of the Beta Theta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., in Durham, NC and is a Life Member of the fraternity. He has served in various leadership roles in the fraternity, including chapter President, and Executive Director for the District of North Carolina.
Dr. Roger McDougal is married and the father of three daughters. He serves as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at his church. In his spare time, Dr. McDougal enjoys attending UNC football and basketball games, and traveling with his family.
